General Description

The boat is a 1983 Fantasia 27’ Jeanneau cruising/racing sloop with a fin keel. It features an aft cockpit with a trunk cabin superstructure. The topsides are finished with the builder’s original white gelcoat, dark blue paint, and a white waterline. The deck and superstructure are finished with white anti-slip gelcoat.

The general layout, starting from the stem, is as follows:

• The V-berth cabin has a large opening hatch.

• Aft of the V-berth cabin is a starboard and port side settee with a folding dining table that can be converted into a bed for overnight sleeping.

• Moving aft to starboard is the captain’s desk with storage behind and above, followed by an enclosed head.

• On the port side is the galley, with a sink, ice box, two-burner stove, and storage area.

• Aft of the galley on the port side is the quarter berth.

There is an inner liner that forms the basic interior structure and adds structural support to much of the hull. The partitions are teak-faced plywood with teak trim.

The cockpit features a U-shaped footwell with a helmsman’s seat across the stern and lockers under the U-shaped seats. The helm is a tiller steering system equipped with an autohelm control.
